If you know me at all, you know I often write about my oldest son and how private he is. He's a quiet boy at times; internal, centered. However - there are times when he comes forward with information that is just so darn wonderful to listen to. Actually - anytime and every time he's stepped forward to share something intimate and thoughtful I have loved it. Me, a person that loves deep conversations more than anything else - and him sharing what he is thinking about and feeling, and yes, I am pretty much in heaven.
This past week he shared about a fifth grade girl in his class who has been showering him with attention and seemingly has a "crush" on him. No big deal to him. 1/2 interested really. But it's flattering all the same, and I think he sort of likes how it makes him feel. He seemed amused by it.
He told me about this note she gave him with a lipstick kiss on it. He left it on the kitchen table.
I just had to take a photo of it and of course make perhaps an embarrassing blog (to him someday?) post about it. Because you know...first word, first step, first lost tooth. Why not first love note?!
A document of our life with Anders and Kuba, filled with photo's, moments, and stories which capture the essence of our life. Who knew that life with two boys and two moms could be this good, or this nutty?

What Do You Have To Offer The World?
I'm creative.
I'm funny.
I don't give up easily.
My fifth grader is going to love middle school and I think middle school is going to love him!

No Surgery Needed
Today the good news came. No surgery for Anders. His pinky is aligned well and healing. Excellent news! So, a new bright red, waterproof cast for 3 more weeks - but that's nothing compared to surgery. He is a real trooper that boy.
