Fall Camping in Paradise

This past weekend we went camping in the Adirondacks.  Canoe camping.  Our first time canoe camping.   We went with our good friend, Cathy and set off with one green and one bright red canoe.  We paddled our way to an ideal island campsite, nestled into the most ideal pine wood, with an amazing view.  Loons, ducks, eagles, chipmunks, blue sky, white clouds, green evergreens surrounded us.   A stunning wilderness of peace.
It was a crisp, bright and delightful weekend.

Cross Country Boy

Anders had his first cross country meet last week and I snapped this of him as he passed by.  He did well for his first run and mostly, I'm just so damn proud of him.

Here is Anders pushing it
at the end of his 5th race!
Go ANDERS!

And yet another awesome race.

Last race of the season.
It was a spectacular day - the temperature,
fall colors, bright clear sky, and sunlight combined to make this an awesome last race.
What a great sport and opportunity for Anders.
Go Edmunds, Go Anders!

Neighborhood Gang

I could not resist taking this photograph, (as if I were spying - and in fact, I was) - of my boys and the other neighborhood kids.   They were out for hours just playing together and I LOVED IT!  And I felt lucky and happy for them that they could all hang out together with balls, and imaginations, and I even think someone had an ipad out there and they were making short videos.

Splitting Up!

A new era has dawned here on the house with the orange porch.
Kuba goes in one direction, Anders the other.
The boys are now at different schools until they meet up again in 6 years at the high school.
OH, the agony!!

3rd Grade Here He comes!

NOTHING better than a kid that loves school!

Hello Middle School!

It's true.  Anders is in 6th grade now.
Rainy first day with friends as they launch.
