Valentine's Day 2021

I can't tell you exactly why I love Valentine's Day so much, but I do.  I think it's because it's an expectation free holiday.  It's also arty and love filled.  I enjoy it to the hilt.  This year we all made each other Valentine's.  We had waffles for breakfast, and heart shaped cheese ravioli for dinner. We went skiing, and skating and watched a movie and basically enjoyed the day.  I gave the boys flannel pajama bottoms, grey with red hearts all over them.  I also gave them a Keith Haring heart t-shirt.  Friends dropped off Valentine's for grandma all day.  Anna made me an adorable paper house and I made her a dreamboat boxed valentine. So far I've given her 17 boxed valentines.  3 more and I'll hit the 20 year mark!  I like each and everyone of them.   Clever ideas for a clever couple.

My Girl Turns 53

Anna turned 53 just a week ago and we had a lovely birthday celebration for her.
We went Nordic skiing with friends followed by some sledding down a gorgeous hill.  It was such a nice birthday for such a lovely person.

Vain Teen Troll

One of the most fun daily weird happenings around here is that we have these places where we can place letter blocks to create words or phrases.
Kuba and I are the ones mostly responsible for changing the messages.
We like twerking someone else's to create a whole new meaning.
The latest one is seen above.
Kuba put that one up.
This always puts a smile on my face.

Nordic Racing

Anders joined the Nordic Team this year!  JV Nordic at his high school. He's learning how to skate ski for the first time, and then race using that technique.  He's also racing classis Nordic.
It's super exciting to have him part of a ski team - the only unfortunate thing being that due to the pandemic, the races are spectator free!  So we haven't yet had a chance to watch him ski!
