It’s been almost one week since we have been home. Quickly we fell into a new routine and it’s startling how fast Sweden has started to blur in our minds. An epic trip for sure and as always, wherever you go there you are. We’ve been busy unpacking, doing home chores, getting reorganized, and wrapping our heads around a return to work and school. I want to comb through the thousands of photographs I took and organize them. It would be nice to create a movie and perhaps even a book. But that’s requires time and in this moment my time has been filled with tasks related to re-entry. Our plan is to host a Swedish fika and invite our friends; we bought lots of candy to give out and we want to share a bit about our travels.
The boys have been settling in too. Reconnecting with friends, playing, and reacclimatizing to this life, our Burlington, Vermont life. Next week on Wednesday they begin school - it’s the first time in 6 years that they are at the same school again. Kuba enters 9th grade and Anders glides into his senior year. Here’s to every hope that this year will be a good one for both boys.
