Anders spent Sunday working on a valentine for Morgan.

I love that this is a preferred choice over a dozen roses or a box of chocolates.
Anna and I have done this since we met.

This Singing Kid

 Kuba is a mighty music lover and spends lots and lots of time jamming on the keyboard, or just with vocals, but always in a spirit of joy and passion.  I totally love that about him and feel lucky that this is our day to day.  Not to forget to mention the constant spontaneous dancing.  

Birthdays & Cousins & Arcades

 We had a lot of cousin fun on Kaj’s 9th birthday.  Hannah came home from Colorado  and we haven’t seen her since May!  Arcade fun, lazer tag, and lots of games.  It was a very busy weekend!  But the cousin dynamic is so darn amazing and strong.   Up, up with cousins!

We went to see Mean Girls this past weekend.  Kuba and so many others we know were in it, including the one and only - Morgan Baker!  She was the lead and the star of the show.  Simply put, she was fantastic. Her voice!  Her stage presence. We just loved her in this! Kuba was also in it, but as a sophomore he was at the bottom of the totem pole of roles. He was in the ensemble cast as a walking giraffe and was in an amazing tap number that was just incredible.

Happy 2024!

         

New Year's Eve is always the grand finale of our holiday break.  For year's we have either gone to First Night downtown with the kids, or had a home party. Last year was a bunch of teens, and this year was also a bunch of teens, but different.   This year we went to the movies with the boys and their girlfriends, Morgan and Clara, and then we all came back here for games, nachos, silly photos and the ball drop. It was honeslty so nice to have them all here.  This is such a new thing for us, and we are learning how to parent boys with girlfriends.
