I don't really care what you think about Valentine's day, but without a shadow of a doubt Valentine's day has become a very favorite holiday in our family. This year we had a Valentine's potluck meal with friends that was super delicious. In the morning Anna was up at 5:30 making doughnuts for all of us, and I made a scrumptious cake - 1/2 chocolate, 1/2 vanilla. It's the holiday of the homemade. Anna made me a beautiful Plexiglas house filled with origami hearts. I made her a boxed Valentine. Kuba made us all little fused glass hearts, and Anders drew the most lovely cards for Anna and me. At school I had the kids make nearly 500 valentine prints that we handed out to everyone in the building, and 33 of those were "golden valentine's" which meant you won a chocolate bar! I also sent out nearly 70 valentine's cards to friends and family.
A document of our life with Anders and Kuba, filled with photo's, moments, and stories which capture the essence of our life. Who knew that life with two boys and two moms could be this good, or this nutty?

Family Games
When we get together we always play games. Anna got a great - yet difficult- puzzle from Sandy for her birthday and it took a whole bunch of hands and minds to finish it.

Snow Day
So far this year we've had 3 snow days. One for actual snow, one for freezing cold temperatures, and one for ice. On this snow day we shoveled our way out, then took ourselves to the country club for sledding.

Year of the Tiger
We rang in the Lunar New Year last night with family.
Peter, Jen, Kaj and Mormor came for dinner.
The only thing missing were the fortune cookies!
Luckily we had a tin of fortunes to pull from.
