Tis the Season!

I found the most fabulous berry picking patch way up in Westfield.  6 quarts later there were 7 jars of strawberry freezer jam, and a jammin' 4th of July birthday cake!

James Beard Nominee and All the Perks!

Our amazing niece, Hannah Thelemarck is a chef at a restaurant out in Grand Junction, Colorado - Bin 707.

The head chef at her restaurant, Josh Niernberg, was nominated for Outstanding Chef, which is quite the honor!  Hannah traveled to Chicago with her team and attended this very prestigious awards ceremony.  

Not only did Hannah look completely gorgeous, she met the famous Swedish chef, Marcus Samuelsson!  See below for a photo! We are so proud!!!!!!!!

Welcome Summer! Hello Tradition!

For years we've been heading out to Waitsfield to get pizza and play.

We are celebrating the end of the school year and the beginning of summer.

It's just fun.  Plain old fun.  Games never get old and I still love those howling balloons.

As part of his end of year studies, Kuba did an overseas program to London (with a mini side trip to Paris) with a group of 11 students and 3 chaperones.  It was epic.  It was remarkable. It was 10 very full days.

So Long

so long sweet oven

The time to chuck our pizza oven came and went.

We tossed it into the scrap heap at the dump.

A hole had formed in the bottom from too much rain.

SO sad, so may great memories. 

The thrill of making and using our very own pizza oven cannot be matched.

Over and OUT

Year two of college is over!  Anders completed his last exam on Thursday and came home on May 10th with all of college dorm living in a big giant heap.  He's one brilliant human and now he's back with us full time.  Soon - in a few months, he'll be off to Costa Rica for a semester, so we are absolutely going to soak him up.
