FREE

Yes.   The boat was free.   Yes.  It is 45 years old.    Yes.   It is sitting in our driveway.   Yes it runs.  Yes.  It does need some work.    Yes.  It is super vintage exciting.    Yes.  All the kids around think it's better than sliced bread.   Yes.  I don't think we quite know what we've gotten ourselves into.  Yes.  All of it, yes.  

The First Day Walk

A great tradition that has been happening for years now is the great walk to school on the first day. Kids have been gathering in the park near our house and then they all walk together.  This year was a great big group which made it all the more fun.  I just keep thinking about how lucky they all are.

New Sneakers

Today was the first day of the new school year ~ second grade and fifth grade, shoe size 4.5 and 6.5. We always start off the year with a new pair of sneakers and here they are in all their bright primary  glory.  Oh- and then there's the happy kids who get to inhabit them.
