Light and Sound are Awesome, but you are Awesomer!
Kuba has a student teacher in his classroom this year, the incredible Ashley Richford! He wrote this little ditty in honor of her last day and he and Anna performed it for her.

B R E A D
Anna baked Polish plecianka again this year with the boys for Easter. This is an old recipe from my Auntie Ann. She made it every year for the whole family and it was like manna from heaven.
Anna has always baked with the boys. And even though our oven is broken and has been for months now, this didn't stop her. She set off with a giant bowl full of dough for her mom's and together they made five loaves of bread.
3, 2, 1, RUN!
It was Easter this past Sunday and we were invited to our friends annual Easter breakfast and egg hunt. There are close to fifty kids, though I am just guessing about the exact number, but I think that is a pretty close estimate. There are probably over 500 colorful, jellybean stuffed Easter eggs hidden in plain site all around their neighborhood. The boys totally love it, as do all of the other kids dressed in their Easter finest. The above montage shows the moments when the kids are all lined up, and then released so they can dash off and begin collecting. It is truly one of my favorite moments of the holiday.

Some Days Really are Special
I came home tonight to this note taped to the door and my youngest son dancing around in the entryway gushing with joy about my arrival. He was animated, funny, attention seeking and I, of course, could tell he was trying to keep me distracted from something happening in the other room. I played along and in about five minutes I was allowed into the dining room, where the boys had set the table for dinner and Anders had lit about ten candles, a very special choice indeed. Why? I don't know. It was just that kind of a day. Maybe it was the joie de vivre of it being the first of April that made all the difference in the world. Maybe they're beyond eager for Spring to really get here, so creating their own joy in the meantime helps with the eternal waiting. Either way, it was a lovely evening at home and proved that some days really are special. Sometimes for no particular reason at all.
