Surf's Up

Our last beach day on the cape was pretty much mind blowing fantastic.  We went to Head of the Meadow and it was just the perfect choice.  There was a combination of light, 180 degree horizon line, colors of the sea and sky, gentle waves, and an impending rain that created a perfect storm for photographs.

The two of them were fearless in the waves and they surfed on their boogie boards for hours and hours.  There was a sand bar that allowed for long steady satisfying surfs onto the shore and truly made them beyond happy.  They were so full of astonishment, pride, delight and joy that it even made me giddy.  I waded out with my camera more than once to capture their bliss.

There is something about that top photo that is captivating. Funny how you can see their joy without their faces being in the photo.
