Play is Serious Business

Play is essential to the life of the universe.

--Robert Jackson and Dermot Killingley, Listening to Hindus
Just by looking at these snapshots you can tell how serious this business of play is.
However, you are missing the squeals of delight he shouted after hiding and being found behind the white blanket, and the gulping noises made by the lizards as they ate a new crop of fresh squeezed playdough worms. Or the self-talk as Anders put each wood piece into a hole, naming them Mama, Mema, Papa, brother, sister, grandma, "the family."
Oh I do love this aspect of parenting, and I do honor the importance of play in all of our lives.
