Among the fields of gold

The southern part of Sweden is covered with fields of grain - golden fields as far as the eye can see.  Wheat, oats, barley. We pulled over a few times to marvel and take in the color.  The boys did some running through the fields and I tried to capture this with my camera. Although these photographs did not quite convey the sensitivity of light, color, sound, wind, vibrancy.  I could not help but hear Sting or Eva Cassidy singing, and I totally understood the jealous sun.

Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold
