Vacation Week: Frozen Lake Musings

I heard that the lake was frozen so I was up for an adventure today.
So I took Kuba, Sam, Gus and Thea, and we walked out onto Shelburne Bay.
It was solid.  Assorted people were out there.  Ice fishermen, folks strolling, and a crew of men that were trying to retrieve parts from a burnt Tesla.  Just days ago, someone drove it onto the ice and it exploded and burnt to a crisp.  This added a bit of excitement to the walk.
The boys played with giant icicles along the shore line and then we scrambled up
the ridiculously icy embankment and hiked a snowy trail.
On the way back, the boys played keep away with Thea and her rubber toy.
It was fun.  All of it was fun.  So fun.
But the most fun of all was watching and listening to the boys sing, talk,
break icicles, and just be boys together on the frozen ice.
